Spark Systems is a Singapore based Fin-tech start-up that provides solutions for Institutional FX trading.
We are builders of smart and efficient trading platforms. We believe that the current foreign exchange buy-side can be better served by being redefined by Spark Systems platform. From local banks to hedge funds; retail traders to corporate treasuries; Spark Systems aims to serve specific requirements of buy-side sub groups.
Our objective is to enhance usability and optimise user experience by providing a stable and ultra-low latency market place with an aggregator and algorithms for execution. We provide an innovative solution to today's segmented and under-served FX market participants.
Spark aims to differentiate itself by using the latest in technology to improve the user experience in trading and execution. Through a stable and fast platform, Spark also provides analytics to the user to capitalise their liquidity and trading history.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gain firsthand knowledge to cutting edge and class leading technology for financial trading solutions
• Receive on the job coaching from senior members of the team
• Gain Forex market knowledge
Internship students will work in one or more of the following areas:
• Development of distributed and scalable server side solution for the core trade engine and its components, especially in the low latency / high performance programming area
• Development of top grade trading GUI application on multiple platforms (Desktop, Web and Mobile), become domain expert on UX (User Experience)
• Help manage computer network infrastructure catered for high performance distributed trading applications
• Assist new client on-boarding and support client operation, gain firsthand knowledge with FX trading business
Educational Background and experience
• Currently studying under degree education of an Engineering major
Required Skills and experiences
• Numerical training with analytical mindset
• Passionate about programming or technology in general
• Fast-learner, able to research on his/her own through self-study
• Good work ethics, resourceful and problem solver
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Computer Science Degree
• Previous experience in programming either through coursework or industry internship
