Their 1st product, KIMIA Knee Recovery Management Solution, is a continuous monitoring device for the knee joint, currently under trial in some of the largest public hospitals in Singapore.
The product was the National Winner and International Top 20 of the prestigious James Dyson Award 2020 and has gained traction with major implant companies, public hospitals, and orthopedic clinics. This product has recently received approval as a Class A medical device in Singapore and the CE mark in Europe. The 2nd product of the company, KIMIA Home, is a digital therapist in the form of a mobile app capable of providing real-time exercise guidance and feedback and is currently being piloted with large institutional customers.

The Job
Your Responsibilities will include:
- We are looking to hire a talented and hardworking computer hardware engineer to develop and design.
- You will be responsible for designing base hardware systems, installing complex hardware components, system troubleshooting, collaborating with software engineers, and modifying existing hardware platforms to enhance functionality in upgraded systems.
- Assist with development of company’s products, including (but not limited to) electronic or hardware components in web dashboards, CAD, IoT engineering, electrical engineering, etc.
- Meet regularly with business stakeholders and top company management to understand and refine functional requirements and user experience.
- Designing and developing hardware designing and developing test jigs, medical devices etc.
- Testing hardware components individually and in tandem with external computer systems.
- Analyzing systems data in order to make changes to the hardware configuration.
- Completing functionality and performance tests on the final product.
- Designing hardware for computer-related products such as routers and smart devices.
- Creating specifications and documents for components and completed computer systems.
- Collaborating with software developers to ensure the hardware functions for its intended purpose.
- Overseeing manufacturing process of hardware components.
- Provide valuable insights and ideas through interaction with stakeholders/users and implement them to improve the existing products generating impact and value for the company.
Ideal Candidate
Skills Required:
- Pursuing a degree in any engineering-related field.
- Analytical thinking with good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work closely with the software development team.
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and electrical systems.
- Ability to see potential problems in a system setup.
- Experience with user-centric product development projects with the willingness to interact with end-users to gather feedback and user requirements
- Good command of the English Language; Other languages are a plus
- Strong leadership and a team player
- Adaptable, creative, and adventurous
