SMEVentures is seeking an entrepreneurial, creative, and data-driven hustler to drive our talent acquisition efforts.
SMEVentures is a unique accelerator driving a proven entrepreneurial buyout model into Asia Pacific. Unlike most accelerators, SMEVentures doesn’t work with startups. Instead, we partner with search fund entrepreneurs, people looking to acquire and operate existing SMEs in Singapore and Australia.
The search fund model has seen great success in the US since its inception at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1984, and only recently has the model arrived in Asia Pacific. SMEVentures is leading the charge as the first accelerator of its kind in the region and will soon complete Australia’s first-ever search fund acquisition. This role therefore represents an exciting opportunity to make an impact at the very frontier of this innovative model.
As Talent Acquisition Intern, you will lead our efforts to identify and engage high-potential entrepreneurial talent to join our formidable team.
What you’ll do:
Work directly with the Managing Director to define and execute a multi-channel talent acquisition strategy
Develop a pipeline of world-class, entrepreneurial future CEOs with whom SMEVentures can partner on buyout ventures
Manage an event calendar, filling it with speaking engagements for our Managing Director to attract talent
Optimize the end-to-end candidate selection process to ensure both a positive experience for candidates and optimal outcomes for SMEVentures
Strategically create and distribute job descriptions via various digital channels
Contribute to the development and execution of SMEVentures’ content marketing strategy
Set and track KPIs, reporting regularly to the team

Singaporean citizenship or permanent residency
Native-level English communication skills, both written and verbal
Also helpful:
A degree in a relevant field
Familiarity with LinkedIn and other job sites
Experience with either CRM or ATS software
