Company Profile

SUTD is the world’s first Design AI university. With Design AI, artificial intelligence is treated as a partner and a member of the team – not just a tool. As a result of this unique SUTD treatment, AI and humans brainstorm, spar and prototype together, resulting in solutions that are elevated several-fold. This human-AI team concept has been made possible because of SUTD’s unique cohort-based interdisciplinary pedagogy. As a trailblazer in the field of design and technology education and research, SUTD has been pioneering innovative programmes and initiatives since its formation 16 years ago. As part its new mid-term growth strategy called SUTD Leap, it will work closely with industry to co-create solutions in both education and research – for a better world.

Job Description

The Content Creation & Digital Media Intern will support the 42-Singapore team in producing engaging video and visual content to showcase the programme’s unique pedagogy, student stories, events, and community culture. The intern will be involved in the end-to-end content development process — from pre-production planning to post-production editing — gaining hands-on experience in digital storytelling within a dynamic, tech-driven education environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and storyboarding short-form video content (e.g. student interviews, social media snippets, behind-the-scenes, event coverage)
  • Support on-site video shoots, including basic camera work, lighting setup, and sound
  • Edit video content for various platforms (e.g. Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, YouTube) using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Google AI or Flow
  • Contribute to motion graphics and visual design (e.g. titles, subtitles, lower thirds) for enhanced viewer engagement
  • Support photo selection, captioning, and post scheduling for social media where needed
  • Assist in maintaining the video asset library and ensuring proper file management
  • Assist in the creation of digital content for use on social media or other platforms and managing the digital calendar of content on social media.
  • Support basic updates and maintenance of the 42-Singapore website, such as uploading new content (e.g. student stories, events, news highlights), ensuring visual consistency, and refreshing media assets as needed
  • Coordinate with the marketing and web teams to ensure web content aligns with branding and communication strategy

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the internship, the student will:

  • Understand the full video production cycle in a real-world organisational context
  • Develop content tailored for digital and social media platforms, based on audience needs and platform-specific best practices
  • Strengthen visual storytelling, editing, and post-production skills using industry-relevant tools
  • Gain practical experience collaborating across teams in an agile content pipeline
  • Build a portfolio of work produced for a real-world brand
  • Gain exposure to content management systems (CMS) and understand the fundamentals of web publishing
  • Develop a basic understanding of web content strategy and user experience (UX) considerations

*Only credit-bearing internships will be considered.
