Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

  • To assist and support the Resource Development (PD) department in events management/publicity, digital fundraising and corporate donor relations.
  • To encourage current and potential supporters to organise fundraising events, and organise promotional and publicity initiatives.
  • To work with individuals, communities and businesses to raise awareness of the charity's work. Ultimately, to increase the contributions of those individuals and groups by building relationships and exploring new fundraising techniques and ideas.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Support fundraising activities - following up on each event from start to finish; and ensuring maximum publicity. Fundraising events include but are not limited to the Grateful Hearts Day (World Red Cross Day), International Bazaar, Charity Concert and 3rd party fundraising events.
  2. Support fundraising and events team, including deployment of volunteers, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and communicate with donors, to ensure the smooth running and execution of the event. (May be asked to work weekends when necessary)
  3. Identify new and potential supporters and encourage them to organise their own fundraising events to raise funds for the charity, whilst publicising these acts to inspire more fundraisers onboard.
  4. Ideate and execute publicity initiatives that drive traffic.
  5. Any other matters as assigned by Head, Resource Development.

  • Planning & organising events
  • Customer service & Volunteer management
  • Digital Marketing & social media
  • Ability to work with Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, MS Office and other office-related software;
  • Good presentation skills
  • Meticulous
