- Assist the optometrist to perform basic eye examinations using specialised equipment to check ocular health and diagnose symptoms of any general health conditions or any vision defects
- Communicate with patients to get detailed case histories
- Provide professional advices and solutions to patients
- Keep and maintain detailed patient records of their eye health
- Maintain all equipment and measuring devices to be in good working condition
- Assist doctors in operating theatre
