Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) is Singapore’s national association for company directors. Formed in 1998, its mission is to uplift the directorship profession and champion good governance. Its membership comprises board directors, company leaders, and professionals with an interest in corporate governance. A Governing Council guides the direction and work of the organisation, and SID Committees comprise industry professionals, academics and corporate governance experts.
The Accreditation & Professional Development team, which you will be a part of, oversees the development of accreditation frameworks and tools, as well as SID’s professional development curriculum. The team supports the strengthening of SID's positioning in the market as a thought leader for all things directorship and/or governance, and a standard bearer for good governance.
Provide operational and outreach support to SID’s Membership team for renewals and onboarding (including listed company chairs). This part-time role blends administration with structured outbound calling to drive timely renewals and a smooth member experience.
Key Responsibilities
1) Membership Renewal & Onboarding
- Assist with membership renewal processing: reminders and confirmation
- Support onboarding of listed entity chairs
- Maintain accurate membership records in the CRM system
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support to ensure a smooth member experience
2) Telemarketing & Outreach
- Conduct outbound calls to:
- Follow up with members for renewals.
- Reach out to listed company chairs and prospects to explain SID’s membership benefits and encourage sign-up.
- Clearly present SID’s value proposition and handle member questions or objections.
- Record call outcomes accurately and flag follow-up needs to the Membership team.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in any discipline (students or retirees with relevant experience also welcome)
- Prior experience in membership services, telemarketing, telesales, or customer service an advantage
- Strong spoken communication skills; confidence speaking with senior executives an advantage
- Comfortable with outbound calls and achieving outreach goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Organised, service-minded, and able to work independently in a part-time capacity
Work Arrangement
- Contract term: Approximately 5~6 months
- Hours: Part-time, e.g., 20–25 hours per week (flexible scheduling by agreement) during office hours between (9am to 6pm)
- Work mode: On-site presence at SID’s office required
