The E-Commerce & Distribution Department is in-charge of the Website (Singaporeair.com), Mobile application (SingaporeAir app), Real-Time Marketing and Distribution strategy for the company.
For the website and mobile app, the department is responsible for bringing in more sales and revenue. For Real-time Marketing, the team is responsible for the onsite personalisation of product offerings in our sales channels by harnessing advances in marketing technology.
For distribution, the department is responsible for ensuring our products are made available across all sales channels through partners such as Sabre, Amadeus and Travelport. Distribution also oversees the company’s strategy in the new distribution capability (NDC) landscape, and works with travel-meta companies such as Skyscanner and Kayak.
The department regularly reviews new systems and technology that will help advance our offerings to customers on digital platforms.
Interns may be attached to any of our four sections and would be assigned duties such as:
• Benchmarking, identifying and reviewing of new features that can be implemented on both the website and mobile application
• Assisting in channel optimisation experiments and channel-specific projects
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new features that will be rolled out
• Research on emerging new technology
• Analysis of sales and marketing data
