Shenghong Petrochemical Internation – Operations Intern

Shenghong Petrochemical International Pte. Ltd. is the Singapore-based international trading arm of Shenghong Group. The company is mainly engaged in the trading of crude oil, refined petroleum products and other energy-related commodities.

Our Singapore office works closely with regional and global partners across trading, operations, risk management, finance and corporate functions.

• Follow-up L/C issuance
• Send voyage order
• Monitor cargo itinerary
• Manage trade documents and shipping documents
• Appoint cargo surveyor
• Handle cargo claims, demurrage calculations, and invoicing
• Update operations reports and filing
• Coordinate with the Finance department for payment and reconciliation
• Liaise timely and effectively with suppliers, buyers, ship brokers, cargo surveyors, cargo agents, and insurance companies
• Maintain good relationships with counterparties

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Maritime, Shipping, International Finance or any other related field.
• Internship should contribute to school graduation requirements
• Have impeccable follow-through, and ‘Can Do’ attitude and mindset
• A team player
• Bilingual with basic knowledge in Mandarin is preferred to communicate with mandarin speaking colleagues
