About Independent Living and Caregiver Support Division 

The Independent Living and Caregiver Support Division develops ecosystem support to empower persons with disabilities and caregivers through integration of services and accessibility, improving built & digital environment and enabling adoption of tech solutions. The division contributes towards the capability building of persons with disabilities, caregivers, and sector professionals; and implement initiatives that enhance the independent living skills of persons with disabilities.

Job Description

Project Description

Support the team in research and initiatives related to Future Care Planning (FCP i.e. planning for long-term needs and care of a person with disability, especially when his caregiver is no longer able to care). This includes work on the development of the Future Care Planning Resource Centre at the Enabling Village, consolidating relevant research on FCP services, and coordinating stakeholder engagements. The intern will be involved in engaging relevant stakeholders and research partners (including overseas) and learn about future care planning initiatives for the disability population.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities / Work Areas

The intern will support the team in the various areas below (non-exhaustive):

  • Support work for the set-up of the Future Care Planning Resource Centre, by coordinating stakeholder engagements and consolidating inputs.
  • Identify and coordinate engagements with relevant research partners and overseas disability agencies involved in Future Care Planning, for SG Enable's consultation with them.
  • Consolidate and analyse information collated through the consultations and provide recommendations for a possible study trip.
  • Update existing Future Care Planning online resources on SG Enable's Enabling Guide portal.

 

Requirements

  • Preferred course of study: Social Sciences
  • Good writing and communication/engagement skills
  • Proficiency in research, analysis and summarizing information
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Familiar and proficient in data collection and summarizing information
  • Ability to contribute as part of a team, while working independently on individual responsibilities with some supervision
