SFI Energy Pte Ltd – QHSE Intern

Essential Functions

• Maintenance and evaluation of QHSE system ensuring compliance with requirements of ISO, ISM and other related standards.
• General admin and secretarial role supporting the QHSE department.
• Assist the Shipping Manager, Port Captains and Technical Superintendents in all QHSE matters concerning the company’s fleet.
• Coordinate with the various functional sections under the QHSE Department in relation to the proper upkeep of vessel and department records.
• Assist to plan, develop and implement relevant QHSE initiatives and/or training programs to internal staff/sea going fleet to foster and promote a safety culture.
• Arrange and keep track of documentation for new ships in the management as directed by the Shipping Manager.
• Track and alert concerned personnel on the key dates.
• Coordinate with other departments as required for QHSE matters.
• Perform document control functions for key documents (e.g. Charter parties, Shipman Agreements, S&P Agreements, licenses etc...).
• Prepare agendas, record minutes for all key meetings within QHSE Department, and with third parties.
• Create checklists with due dates and make concerned personnel aware of the checklists and consistently follow up with the closing of the checklists until task is completed.
• Day to day execution of the QSHE related coordination activities to ensure un-interrupted service to stakeholders.
• Perform data collection and prepare analysis under the direction of the DPA / Shipping Manager.
• Any other related administrative and support duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager from time to time.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies or relevant qualification 
• Minimum two years of working experience in similar position Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
