Job Description

NOTE: Only applicants from local universities will be reviewed.

This role will be part of the Beneficiary Engagement, Kinship Network team.

Blurb

As an interdependent community, our mothers are empowered to support one another and take control to improve their lives. To start building connections, we will match beneficiaries to create a supportive partnership.

Tasks:

  • Be proactive in familiarising with the current landscape relating to the low-income women
  • Create interview questions that seek to address the gaps that's relevant to the changing user needs in their search for resources.
  • Reach out to beneficiaries/ social workers/ partner organisations to conduct the interviews in-person or online.
  • Synthesise consolidated data findings from interviews, identify key findings, create user personas.
  • Design and execute user testings to address various topics.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders, product managers, and designers to define and execute a research roadmap that’s aligned with future goals for the resource portal
  • (MUST HAVE) A heart to listen to our beneficiaries.
  • (PLUS) Experience in design thinking / user research.

Working Environment

You will be working remotely and independently. Our whole team is made of volunteers (who are not paid). As we hold our full-time commitments (study/work), you will be working mostly on your own during the day. Our timings are flexible, and you are free to commit to other passion projects. All we ask for is at least 30 hours per week, and to make time for internal meetings and beneficiary interviews which might be held during weekday evenings or weekends, depending on team/beneficiary availability.

You can be assured that you will be given adequate mentorship from very experienced individuals! We are also a fun and young team - all of us doing this out of passion. You will be given the opportunity to support other teams/functions as well. We hope that you will grow with us while doing something impactful.

Remuneration:

As we are a non-profit, we are unable to pay you a high remuneration. You will gain lots of meaningful experiences though. We will aim to move from the research phase to a launch in Singapore during your time with us. 🙂
