Job Description

Job Overview: 

As a legal intern in the Asia Pacific Legal Department, you will be under the direct supervision of Asia Pacific Legal Counsel and co-supervision of Export Control Manager. Successful candidate will be provided with foundational knowledge on managing various business contracts and maintaining corporate governance for the entities local in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, as well as given the opportunity to gain exposure on export control related matters. 

 

Legal Function 

  • Regulate and conduct legal research. 
  • Communicating with legal counsel to draft, review contracts and prepare legal documents.
  • Assist legal counsel to facilitate & organise business and board meeting with stakeholders. as well as take notes/minutes during meeting. 
  • Assist legal counsel to migrate contract templates onto the software/platform. 
  • Providing overall legal and documentation assistance to the Asia Pacific legal department and general administrative tasks.

Export Control Function 

  • In-charge of proofreading the revised Legal Entity Export Control Program, for a total of 10 programs for 12 legal entities.
  • Coordinate with Local Process Owners and HR to facilitate target group training by identifying upskilling opportunities for employees.
  • To assist in editing/updating training documents and to collate/research information related to external best practices, lessons learnt. 
  • To customize and revamp the Asia Pacific Export Control page in S-Connect
  • Update export control information in the subregional S-Connect spaces to ensure domestic/local export control policies are well documented. 

 Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Undergraduate studies (final year or completed) in Law related studies. 
  • Minimum commitment of 3 months from May 2022.
  • Hands-on “can do” attitude and meticulous.
  • Should have excellent effectual communication skills and equally effective people skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
