Objective of Internship
The aim of this program is to provide a comprehensive enrichment experience for interns to have an overview of the actuarial work in Health Insurance Industry. During this program, interns will have the opportunity to participate in actuarial related work and data analytics work in Raffles Health Insurance.
The interns will be given the exposure to understand the medical related data, i.e. socioeconomic data of patient, claims data and medical services utilization data along with healthcare trending data. With the guidance, they are required to organize, present and analyse the data and present key stakeholders the business insight. They will also support in product pricing and valuation reporting in Actuarial department. We hope that at the end of this program, they will have a better understanding of the healthcare and health insurance industry.
Job Description
Reporting
- Designing and enabling profitability forecasting by product framework
- Enhancing in-house reserving tool
- Redefining existing actuarial framework and toolset
- Assist in streamlining and developing automated solutions for financial reporting, with understanding of the various Actuarial and Finance processes
Pricing
- Working with pricing team members to enhance the functionality of pricing model
- Streamline the controls and checking
- Prepare user requirements, test plans and perform UAT
- Help in various competitor analysis and market study in health insurance industry
