About Padang & Co
“Padang” in Malay means “open field”. It is also the name of an important historical landmark in the heart of the civic quarter of Singapore. We are an Innovation Catalyst for corporates and government. We increase their innovation capabilities and help them solve important business problems or capitalise on new opportunities. To do that, we connect them with startups / SMEs, entrepreneurs, citizen innovators, non-profits, etc., and leverage Open Innovation tools and methods, such as co-creation, hackathons, innovation challenges, training, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
Help design and execute targeted marketing and outreach campaigns;
Research, recognise, and segment various communities, and create the foundations for a targeted campaign;
Write engaging copy for messaging through various channels and targeted to various groups;
Engage our communities online through our social media channels and e-newsletters;
Measure the effectiveness of marketing and outreach efforts using analytics;
Understand client / partner briefs and coordinate between various stakeholders to execute them effectively; and
Contribute to our thought leadership pieces;
Measure the effectiveness of marketing and outreach efforts using analytics;

Assist in executing online events such as webinars, workshops and networking sessions to engage the community virtually;
Learning Outcomes & Objectives
Get an insider view of the startup and innovation ecosystem and see how technology is shaping the future in various industries;
Analyse key audiences, and learn to design and apply outreach campaigns to engage them effectively;
Analyse campaign goals and write complete marketing plans;
Create concise, compelling marketing messages to engage a variety of audiences;
Understand various tools, techniques, and platforms used to manage campaigns and social media channels; and
Evaluate end-to-end marketing processes and suggest improvements
Create original content and collateral with and for our members;

Good To Have
Ideally, you would also have some writing experience and / or experience planning and executing events.
Familiar with hackathons, innovation challenges, accelerators, innovation labs and coworking spaces.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
Some knowledge of the startup, entrepreneur, innovation, developer / tech, and / or other communities in Singapore and in the region.
