Job Description

We are looking for a talented Video Editor to create outstanding on-brand videos for a variety of media platforms. You will be designing creative videos containing visual text and imagery for online campaigns, social media ads, websites.

What is the role of a Graphic Designer?

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality videos that align with our company's objectives and brand vision. Your primary focus will be on post-production tasks, transforming raw footage into engaging and visually appealing video content that meets our company's objectives and creative vision. You will work collaboratively with our team to create compelling videos that engage and captivate our target audience.

Your videos should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. Responsibilities

  • Edit raw video footage into polished, high-quality videos that meet specific requirements, including but not limited to marketing materials, social media content, tutorials, presentations, and promotional videos.
  • Trim and rearrange footage, apply transitions, add effects, and enhance audio to create a seamless and visually appealing final product.
  • Select and integrate appropriate music, sound effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the overall video quality and impact.
  • Ensure video projects are delivered within established timelines, managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Continuously stay up to date with industry trends, video editing techniques, and software advancements to bring innovative ideas and approaches to the editing process.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on video drafts, making necessary revisions based on feedback received from stakeholders.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient video library/archive, ensuring easy access to raw footage, edited projects, and related assets for future use.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the editing process and find solutions to ensure the smooth progression of projects.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role, demonstrating a strong portfolio of previous video editing projects.
  • Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
  • Solid understanding of video editing principles, techniques, and best practices, including knowledge of color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
  • Strong creative and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to convey messages effectively through video.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with various video formats and the ability to optimize videos for different platforms and channels (web, social media, mobile, etc).
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, incorporating feedback and implementing changes as required.
  • Knowledge of copyright and licensing regulations related to video content, ensuring compliance when using third-party assets.
  • Basic knowledge of camera operation, cinematography, and lighting techniques is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in film production, media studies, or a related field is preferred but not required.
