We are now looking for a passionate, service-driven individual to fill the role of Commis Waiter for Odette restaurant. 

Odette is award-winning Chef-Owner Julien Royer’s first restaurant, located at the iconic National Gallery Singapore. Working with the world’s best boutique producers, Odette serves Modern French cuisine that is guided by Royer’s lifelong respect for seasonality, terroir and artisanal produce. Odette is named in tribute to Royer’s grandmother who taught him how some of the most remarkable dishes can come from the purest ingredients, and believed in ensuring that the fundamental pleasures of enjoying a meal are delivered in the most thoughtful, welcoming and hospitable manner. This ethos has directed every aspect of the Odette experience, harking to a new age in fine dining. In 2020, it ranked at No. 1 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and No. 18 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants shortlist.

Job Description

In the role of Commis, you will be responsible for ensuring that guest expectations are exceeded by delivering seamless service with an excellent attention to detail.

Additionally, you will be expected to:

  • Maintain clear communication between the Chef de Rang and the kitchen
  • Assist the Chef de Rang and senior members of staff with any required tasks in setting up the restaurant
  • Participate in service and ensure the smooth running of the restaurant
  • Set up the kitchen passes as instructed by the chef
  • Demonstrate promptness, anticipation, and organization 
  • To help our guests and colleagues in any way possible
  • To take care of all equipment assigned to you, and report any loss or damage

Qualification

Ideally, you are an individual who is:

  • Respectful and responds positively to both our Front-of-House as well as culinary team
  • Passionate about delivering the highest levels of service, with a desire to learn from our world-class chefs and service professionals 
  • Keen to progress their career in a high calibre restaurant environment
  • Able to maintain high standards of appearance and cleanliness at all times
