Job Description

Cross-Divisional Associate

Ocean Purpose Project (OPP) is seeking adaptable, proactive, and motivated individuals to support various teams across the organization. This role offers broad exposure to sustainability, environmental conservation, project management, communications, partnerships, events, and administrative operations.

The Cross-Divisional Associate will work closely with different departments to support ongoing initiatives and contribute to projects that create positive environmental and social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support across multiple departments, including Operations, Partnerships, Communications, Human Resources, Events, and Sustainability Projects.
  • Assist with project coordination, research, and administrative tasks.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and communication with partners, volunteers, clients, and community members.
  • Assist in planning and executing events, workshops, volunteer activities, and outreach initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting notes, and project documentation.
  • Conduct research on sustainability, environmental issues, funding opportunities, and industry trends.
  • Support content creation, marketing campaigns, and community engagement activities where required.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and organizational initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support OPP's mission and operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Open to secondary school graduates, pre-university students, diploma students, undergraduate students, fresh graduates, and career switchers.
  • Background or interest in Business, Social Sciences, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Communications, Human Resources, Project Management, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work across different functions and teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Passion for sustainability, environmental conservation, community engagement, and social impact.
  • No prior professional experience required; training and mentorship will be provided.
