Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a feature news editorial intern, you will be assisting the Managing Asia team. You would be involved in basic production operations with potentially some basic television writing.

The intern will be responsible on the following areas:

· Identifying newsmakers and pitching for guests

· Research and identifying discussion topics for interviews

· Planning and preparations for filming

· Filming on the ground

· Transcribing interviews and shot-listing footage for tv production

· Source video and other elements for engineering editors to put the show together

· Script formatting plus possibly some basic financial writing

· Learn about financial markets, economics and business

· Provide support and ideas for digital elements of the show

· Partake in and support all related events including playing an active role in the company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives

· Any other duties dependent upon varying work requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

· Preferred areas of study for this internship:

- Media Studies, Economics, Business Studies, Political Science

· Independent self-starter with lots of creativity and initiative

· Able to learn quickly and absorb specific instructions, fast

· Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

· Passionate about Business and/or tv journalism

· Ready to learn and motivated by this exciting ‘breaking news’ industry

· Able to commit for 6 months from July to December
