Movings – Operations Executive

OPERATIONS & MOVING EXECUTIVE

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive, responsible and customer-focused Operations & Moving Executive to join our team.

This is a hybrid role combining office-based operations, customer service and on-site responsibilities. You will work closely with our enquiry and operations team to understand customers' moving requirements, conduct site surveys, prepare quotations and ensure each moving project is carried out smoothly from enquiry to completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Enquiries • Handle customer enquiries and provide professional advice on moving and relocation services. • Understand customers' requirements and recommend suitable moving solutions. • Work closely with the enquiry team to follow up on leads and convert enquiries into confirmed jobs. • Maintain good communication with customers before, during and after the move. • Handle customer concerns and assist in resolving issues professionally.

Site Surveys & Quotations • Conduct on-site surveys at residential and commercial locations. • Assess the volume and type of items to be moved. • Identify special requirements such as bulky items, fragile items, dismantling, packing, access restrictions, lifts, stairs and other site conditions. • Work with the enquiry team to prepare accurate and competitive quotations. • Review job requirements and ensure quotations accurately reflect the manpower, vehicle, materials and services required.

Operations & On-Site Support • Attend selected moving jobs to supervise and/or assist the moving team. • Coordinate with movers and drivers to ensure jobs are carried out safely and efficiently. • Ensure customers' belongings are handled, packed, loaded, transported and placed properly. • Assist in resolving on-site issues and communicate updates to customers and the operations team. • Conduct quality checks to ensure the completed work meets the company's standards.

Teamwork & Coordination • Work closely with the enquiry, sales and operations teams to ensure smooth coordination from enquiry to job completion. • Communicate job requirements clearly to the moving crew. • Assist with scheduling, manpower planning and operational arrangements when required. • Provide feedback to the team on site conditions, customer requirements and operational improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good communication and customer service skills. • Comfortable speaking with customers and conducting on-site surveys. • Able to prepare quotations and understand basic moving requirements. • Organised, responsible and detail-oriented. • Able to work independently as well as part of a team. • Comfortable with a hybrid working environment involving both office and on-site work. • Physically fit and willing to assist with moving operations when required. • Prior experience in moving, logistics, sales, customer service or operations is an advantage. • Class 3 driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory. • Training will be provided for the right candidate.

WORKING STYLE

This is a hybrid position. The role will involve a combination of:

• Office-based customer enquiries and quotation work • On-site surveys • Customer meetings • Coordination with the moving team • On-site supervision and support for selected jobs • Operations and administrative work

The ideal candidate should be comfortable switching between office and field responsibilities and be willing to take ownership of a job from the initial enquiry through to successful completion.
