Mitsubishi Corporation RtM International Pte. Ltd. (RtMI) is a global mineral and metals trading company headquartered in Singapore and a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. Established in 2013, its business includes trading a wide range of commodities like coal, iron ore, copper, aluminum, etc, with a focus on serving global markets and growing demand in Asia. 

Purpose of role

The intern would support the Digital Transformation Department in the daily production / maintenance of management dashboards (e.g. Trading & Risk dashboard, Credit dashboard) and contribute in continuous improvement efforts towards data visualization and process automation.

Responsibilities

• Production-based (50%)

Daily production and maintenance of management dashboard ensuring top data quality and process efficiency

• Project-based (30%)

Enhancement of new functionalities / features in the management dashboard and process streamlining of daily production activities

Other (20%)

Research on new digital transformation technologies and functional initiatives

Knowledge and Experience

• Major in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science or Business Administration preferred
• Programming experience (e.g. Python, R, SQL)
• Data Visualization experience (e.g. Power BI, Tableu)
• Good excel skills (e.g. VBA, Pivot Tables)
• Basic understanding of database and big data technologies (e.g. Azure, Spark, Hadoop)
• Prior Internship experience with commodity trading houses
