About the Milken Institute and the Singapore Internship Program

The Milken Institute’s Singapore Internship Program, in partnership with Partners Group, aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the issues that shape the global agenda as they enter the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, or philanthropic sectors. We create a customized experience for each intern, which is tailored to their interest area and career trajectory as well as emphasizes their professional and personal development.
Position: Intern, Events and Programs
Key Responsibilities
The Asia Center is looking for an intern to support the team in building up our events, programs, and stakeholder outreach and engagement. The ideal candidate will be able to accomplish the following responsibilities:
- Perform background research and write short summaries on industry topics, including economic, finance, politics, technology, and healthcare, to name a few;
- Identify key executives within business and government, and be able to do outreach and engagement with their office
- Organize and update key information on our stakeholder network
- Generate content for social media and strategize how to boost the Institute’s overall visibility
Qualifications
- She/he should be detailed-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, and be fluent in written and spoken English
- She/he should be a proactive self-manager of responsibilities and be able to learn on the job
- Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate is preferred
- Singaporean national is preferred
Internship Duration
We offer a 4 to 12-month internship. We are looking for an intern who can start as soon as possible and work 20-40 hours a week. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we expect interns to be able to work fully remotely as needed, and join team meetings and other calls virtually.
