Job Description

The Job

Mighty Jaxx is looking for a Licensing & Artist Relations Executive who will support the Licensing Manager in managing Mighty Jaxx’s extensive licensing programs. This role will work with licensors and artists, alongside the team to ensure global partnerships activities. Your role will include coordinating closely with the various internal departments and a diverse portfolio of artists and IP holders to devise growth strategies for the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a healthy and happy working relationship with artists and licensing partners

  • Serve as a Point of Contact for all matters relating to artists and licensing partners

  • Receive, send and accompany overseas artists from point to point, including but not limited to receiving at and sending off to airport and all official activities

  • Coordinate and facilitate artists’ activities and necessary transport arrangements and logistics

  • See to artists’ welfare during events

  • Assist Licensing & Artist Relations Manager in ensuring that monthly, quarterly and yearly financial sales targets are achieved across the various licensing programs

  • Identify, negotiate and execute new artist and licensing partnerships directly and/or via agents/partners

  • Ensure contract fulfilment through understanding and compliance of the terms and conditions

  • Cultivate and maximizing existing partnerships to elevate and optimise category penetration and market distribution

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with artists, licensors and other IP holders to relentlessly drive optimum retail opportunities and promotions across the globe – maximizing internal relationships to secure additional exposure on-air, online, socially, events etc

  • Work closely with the following departments: Sales & Marketing, Creative, Logistics, Production, Merchandising, Events, Operations and Finance to ensure smooth and successful program roll-outs

  • Track and compile competitive activity, including macro-industry and licensing-specific trends

  • Partner with Sales & Marketing team to analyse sales trends

  • Manage quarterly royalty reports and revenue estimates for all artists and licensing partners.

  • Prepare important documents such as pitch decks, reports and proposals for both internal and external stakeholders

  •  Any other tasks to be assigned by the Manager, Head of Department and C-suite

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree qualification in Business Management

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience

  • Shows strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload and complete multiple assignments within tight deadlines

  • Ability to work remotely and bring passion into the work

  • Excellent in areas of oral and written communication with good presentation skills

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills; teamplayer

  • Good organisational skills and eye for details

  • Diligent and resourceful

  • Demonstrates initiative by self-starting improvements to reports and processes

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skill
