Job Description

Role Objective

Objective of the Regional Commercial Development Intern is to provide support to the Network Development Function to assist development and market expansion of the retailer network across Asia Pacific.

The internship role will focus on establishing and improving operational processes and procedures to enable retailers to be best place for target achievement.

The role will also assist with analysing and assessing future market expansion and the on-boarding of new retailers to the current Asia Pacific retailer network.

The incumbent is expected to be both – internal & external stakeholder-facing, requiring accurate and effective communication abilities.


Duties & Responsibilities

Network Development (35%)

  • Research on potential markets (i.e. Economic viability, Competitor’s pricing etc.)
  • Project Manage the on-boarding of new retailers with both internal and external reporting
  • Monitor retailer build plan timelines
  • Deploy retailer showroom enhancements
  • Prepare and manage competitor regional performance report
  • Report competitor network development
  • Assist with development of retailer contracts/trading terms


Training (25%)

  • Prepare regional-specific product, process & procedural bulletins
  • Manage regional sales/aftersales training schedules
  • Assist with training course logistics, attendee preparation (Pre, during, post)
  • Maintain and manage set training budget
  • Manage regional staff training database
  • Work closely with Centrally based training administration staff

Internal Communications (20%)

  • Deploy and develop all retailer communications cascading relevant product, sales and procedural information to Asia Pacific retailers
  • Manage the administration process for SharePoint data sharing platform for APAC sales function
  • Manage all past & present price files
  • Track information distribution and recipients list
  • Execute administration of market to market vehicle transfers
  • Manage the staff database to ensure accurate and updated records

Aftersales (10%)

  • Vehicle Off Road Reporting (Weekly)
  • Project Management of Aftersales Marketing tasks:
  • Bulletin compilation
  • Brochure development (Agency liaison)
  • Brochure Ordering
  • Network Distribution


Press Fleet Management (10%)

  • Fleet movements report (Monthly)
  • Administer the sales process of fleet vehicle auctions

Self-Development

  • Handover document – review and update the handover document
  • 90/180 Objective plan/Assessment
  • Weekly Work-in-Progress meetings with relevant manager
