Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Intern to manage and create potential sales opportunities and assist the Sales Team in day-to-day operations. Training and guidance will be provided.

Core responsibilities:

  • Communicate professionally with customers through various channels, including phone, email and text
  • Build strong relationships with prospective customers
  • Respond to prospective customers’ sales enquiries
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Prompt, persistent and tactful follow-ups with customers
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales managers for further development and closure
  • Assist in ad-hoc, admin and operational tasks
  • Perform effective online introductions and demonstrations to prospects
  • Identify potential prospects and create new sales opportunities

Requirements

  • Students welcome to apply
  • Minimum qualification: Diploma, preferably in a related discipline
  • Interest in sales, prior relevant experience would be a bonus
  • Strong phone presence, listening and presentation skills
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills (Minimally: English)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively manage time
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Energetic team-player with a positive attitude
