Each intern would be attached with a financial services consultant and would be guided throughout the course of his/her internship.
During the course of the internship, students would be given a platform to explore and gain first-hand experience of the job as a financial services consultant and this would give them a better understanding of the field in which the Company operates in. Our highly experienced financial services Consultants would supervise them throughout their internship journey and share with them their invaluable knowledge about the industry. Students will be assigned to basic administrative duties, doing research on various financial solutions which are fundamental to the overall financial advisory process. The ‘learn-as you-work’ framework is an integral part of the internship where students would be able to apply the concepts they have been equipped with through joint-field work where interns are given the exclusive opportunity to engage with clients on a personal level. Here is what an internship with Manulife Financial Advisers entails.
1. Exposure to various elements of the financial advisory services , key terms and concepts of financial planning and insurance via trainings (Interns will be able to obtain a license by MAS to practice financial planning upon the completion of CMFAS M5 , M9 and M9A)
2. Analyze and evaluate individual financial needs and priorities.
3. Engage with individuals on different issues central to financial planning.
4. Introduce policies and implement financial solutions that cater to different individuals and their respective needs and objectives.
5. Provide regular investment advice and update clients on a timely basis on issues pertaining to their insurance and investment related matters.
Eligibility criteria
1) Singapore citizen/ Permanent Residents
2) Aged 21 and above (As regulated by MAS)
3) Matriculated into a local university or pursuing undergraduate studies in a university (any course)
