An internship with the Legal and Compliance team provides you the opportunity to: -
- Learn through hands-on experience;
- Adapt in a fast-paced team environment supporting other teams;

- Meet and engage directly with clients, regulators, associates, external counsels, and foreign investors; and

During the course of your internship, your assistance is needed to: -
- Prepare legal documentation;
- Proof-read;
- Conduct legal and regulatory compliance gap analysis;
- Maintain tracker for ongoing legal work;
- Support legal projects;
- Shadow legal team in meetings; and
- Map out action items.
You will be exposed to: -
- Legal research & drafting;
- Broad commercial law;
- Corporate transactional work;
- Banking and finance;
- Technology-related contracts;
- Data protection including cybersecurity;
- Competition law;
- Employment law;
- Management of corporate secretarial matters; and
- Corporate governance work.
This role will report to the Head of Legal and Compliance.
You should have met the following criteria: -
- Currently be completing your legal degree or diploma;
- Able to work full-time (40 hours per week); and
- Have a good understanding of legal principles.
Ideally, you would possess the following traits: -
- A good sense of humour;
- An interest in general in-house legal work;
- Able to thrive in a busy, commercially-oriented and hands-on environment;
- Be efficient and well-organised;
- Able to work under pressure;
- Interested in building professional relationships;
- Broad interest in technology, financial services, and data protection;
- Solutions-oriented;
- Great attention to detail; and
- Proficiency in Bahasa, Thai, Vietnamese, or Mandarin is a plus.
