Job Description

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

- Min 3 months internship

- NO part-time work, please. It is full-time office workday - 9am to 6pm - 5-day week.

- Please have some experience in events (i.e. organising school events, fund raising events, etc) (we do not accept "I don't have events experience but I want to learn". Sorry but we do not have time to teach.)

You will be working closely with the VP Partnerships to produce small and big events for Palace magazine (luxury real-estate magazine). If you're outgoing, self-motivated and have a proactive approach to work, you may enjoy working as an event manager. As an event manager, you'll have responsibility for putting on a range of events. You'll manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the actual day itself and the post-event evaluation. The role is very hands-on and often involves working as part of a team.

Types of event:
You'll typically work on the following kinds of event:
conferences;
cultural events;
exhibitions and fairs;
fundraising and social events;
music festivals;
parties and weddings;
promotions and product launches.
You might specialise in a particular type of event or work on a range of different events.

Qualifications:
- Have a strong interest in advertising & communications.
- Currently enrolled in a tertiary education institution (University, Polytechnic)
- Preferably studying marketing/advertising/branding/mass communications.
- Good grammar and writing style.
- Interested in topics such as luxury, properties, interior design, architecture, yachts to name a few.
- Not afraid to interview people/personalities.

colleagues, peers and mentors. You should strive to know more about the product, its
competition, the business environment and so on, than anyone else.
