HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?
Have you always aspired to be a researcher for beauty brands? Do you love experimenting with the unknown? Are you passionate about lab work?
We are looking to hire 3 interns for our Research & Innovation team (R&I) based in Singapore's international research and development centre for biomedical sciences, Biopolis.
1. Lab Research (Aging) Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform laboratory experiments, data analysis and data presentation
- Writing scientific reports and do meticulous note and record-keeping
- Conduct literature study independently
- Assist other ad-hoc scientific projects
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
- Background and interest in Molecular, Cell Biology or Life Sciences
- Passion for laboratory and research work
- Benchwork research experience (experience in culturing mammalian cells, western blotting, immunostaining and biochemical assays preferred)
- Results-oriented, able to take initiative and has strong follow-up skills
- Outgoing personality, high energy, strong communication skills
2. Lab Research (Pigmentation) Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design and conduct experiments, with mentorship guidance, within a defined project
- Work on laboratory and/or biochemical assays to characterize cell death, oxidative stress and inflammation markers in skin cells
- Collect, record and interpret data, and draw sound scientific conclusions based on analyzed data
- Present your findings to senior management and peers
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
- Background and interest in Life Sciences/Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or other related fields
- Passion for laboratory and research work
- Benchwork research experience (hands-on experience in culturing mammalian cells is preferred)
- Results-oriented, able to take initiative and has strong follow-up skills
- Outgoing personality, high energy, strong communication skills
3. Business Development Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the development of collaboration structures and business models of innovation projects
- Conduct market intelligence regarding start-ups, innovations, and venture capital investments in the APAC region
- Research on emerging technology in start-up companies pertaining to medical application and personalized beauty
- Identify opportunities and connect with potential innovation partners or start-ups
- Conduct market research to provide recommendations and assist in the drafting of proposals
- Open innovation initiatives and activities
- Provide administrative support to business development
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
- Background and interest in technology-related fields such as Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry & Biomedical Sciences
- Passion for spotting new opportunities in the commercial world
- Keen interest in biomedical technology in daily life
- Go-getter with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Independent worker and able to deliver within tight timelines
