Lingua Technologies International Pte Ltd – Junior Editor

Responsibilities:

• Edit, review, copyedit and proof-check English and Chinese translations for fidelity, style, consistency, clarity, grammar, spelling and sense
• Clarify facts and ambiguities with translators, and incorporate appropriate changes to the respective translations
• Review and manage Terminology and Translation Memories
• Manage, schedule and coordinate all editing processes to ensure deadlines are met
• Develop and write new documentation and in-house articles

Requirements:

• A keen interest and a flare for writing and editing is required
• Good command of English is essential for editorial
• Excellent editing, sub-editing and proofreading skills
• Firm knowledge of translation theories will be an advantage
• Experience in a similar role preferred, but entry level candidates who are interested in pursuing a role in a challenging, fast-paced environment are welcome to apply too
