Technician / Service Engineer

1. The holder of this position will be a member of a team of Field Service Engineers who represent the organisation’s after-sale services department.
2. The primary role of the Service Engineer is to install, inspect, service, repair project supply equipment i.e. valves, actuators and other flow related equipment.
3. The job holder role will entail working in end user’s plant primarily in the Water and Waste Water, Petrochemical, Offshore Oil, Gas and Power Generation Industries.
   
   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment. 
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications. 
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner. 
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up. 
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated. 
• Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales. 
• Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
• Act as a competent person/supervisor when required on individual sites including adherence to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
