Company Profile

KrASIA is a digital media company reporting on the most promising technology-driven trends and businesses in the Asia Pacific.

Founded in 2017, KrASIA is a tech media platform that covers news from the tech and startup ecosystems in Asia. From fundraising news to analysis of the latest tech trends, we help our audience keep up with the developments of the regional tech scene and the next wave of innovators who challenge the status quo.

We started out with the simple idea of bringing quality news about China's tech scene out to the global audience. Yet, our ambition continues to grow and with our resources and networks built across Asia. Thus, we also provide innovation consulting services for a variety of partners. These services include startup scouting, customized innovation events, in-depth market reports, and ecosystem tours.

Together with our 36Kr Global sister teams in Beijing and Tokyo, we support tech and innovation happening across borders.

Job Description

KrASIA is on the hunt for a new member who will join our team as a Junior Marketer/Writer, supporting the execution of our client and editorial projects in the Asia Pacific.

This is an internship role that can be undertaken remotely either in a part-time or full-time capacity, contingent upon the candidate’s preferences and schedule.

You could be who we’re looking for if:

  • Your career aspirations include roles in writing, marketing, communication, and/or journalism.
  • You stay updated on the latest trends in startups and technology and are interested in writing about and/or working on projects related to these trends.
  • You possess skills applicable to various business functions. While still developing some of these skills, you are eager to deepen your understanding of them.

The new member’s responsibilities may include:

  • Collaborate with our editorial lead in producing articles and other written content.
  • Co-manage our digital platforms, including programmatic ads, newsletters, and social media, among others.
  • Provide occasional ancillary support for activities such as filming, interviews, and events.
  • Participate in internal feedback loops to discuss areas of optimization. This will typically take the form of a weekly call.

Overview of the interview process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo a single-round interview with our editorial lead and/or managing director and may be asked to complete a brief technical assessment. The entire process, including the assessment, should not exceed 90 minutes.

Note: A strong command of the English language is required to be considered for this role.

We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t consider yourself a perfect match based on the above. Our needs may change over time, and we’re open to discussing potential modifications to the role.

Salary is negotiable. Kindly attach resume upon application.

We look forward to hearing from you!
