Kids DiscoveryWorks offers unique STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment programs to pre-school and primary-school children (K-6). Our innovative curriculum inspires children to build on their natural curiosity through hands-on, fun & engaging project-based learning activities that encourage collaborative problem-solving, discovery and exploratory learning.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic and creative individuals to work as:
•Internship for Assistant Instructors
Flexible months of internship (e.g Aug26 to Nov26/Dec26, Jan27 to Mar27/Apr27/May26), working period can be discussed if stated on resume.
Duties & Responsibilities/Training:
•Inspire curiosity and excitement about science and engineering, using our unique STEM curriculum to introduce students to grade-appropriate STEM concepts. Conduct lessons, and facilitate and coach students through STEM activities and experiments to create effective learning experiences.
•Work as a team with other instructors and co-workers to provide a safe and exciting learning environment for students, and ensure successful program implementation and continuous improvement.
•Monitor and observe each child’s learning progress, providing feedback to both curriculum developers and parents.
•Build good rapport with parents and students.
•Ensure good classroom and inventory management. Help maintain the good order and hygiene of our centres and classrooms.
•A passion for engaging children in learning – must love kids!
•Excellent organizational, communication and facilitation skills. Must be detail-oriented, reliable and comfortable with public speaking.
•A positive working attitude and out-going disposition.
•Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
•Prior working experience with young children would be a strong advantage.
•Candidates with relevant experience/teaching qualifications welcome as Lead Instructors.
•Traveling within Singapore required
•Willing to work on weekends on an ad-hoc basis.
