Intellect – UX Designer

We are looking for a UX Designer intern to join our team in building a mental health experience that meets people’s needs. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is a strong plus.

With us your main goal is to make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract, activate, and retain users.

What this role entails:

• Understand product specifications and user psychology
• Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
• Create personas through user research and data
• Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
• Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
• Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
• Work with our product design team to implement effective and appealing designs
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to our engineering team
• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

With us, you'll be exposed to and able to learn best practices, get hands-on startup experience and be able to initiate and implement projects on your own. You will work directly in touch with our founders who are seasoned experts in the startup space, and be able to lead mini projects on your own.

The ideal candidate we're looking for is creative, has strong design skills, analytical skills, and an eye for what's effective in user experience. You will learn frameworks and processes that enable a startup to grow. We're also a people-first company, which means we care as much as you do about what you get out of your internship with us.
