Job Description

You get the opportunity to work in a Rocket Internet-backed venture that is on an ambitious mission to secure market leadership in Singapore. As a Business Strategy & Operations Intern, you will tackle the strategic and operational challenges of setting up and scaling new verticals of the business while building up deep functional expertise. You will also gain insightful knowledge about the industry and deeper understanding of managing a tech-based company. The startup operates within the highly competitive on-demand home services sector. This is a dynamic role with a variety of challenges from week to week.

We are looking for self-driven and motivated full-time interns that can join us for a period of at least 6 months. As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects core to Helpling’s business, whether it be Sales, Systems and Structures, Finance or People Operations. Our internships expose you to the technology industry, as well as provide opportunities for personal and professional development. From being challenged, to collaborating with a team, join our team to make an impact. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze data on current projects, identify bottlenecks and make improvements
  2. Launch new projects to improve customer experience and satisfaction
  3. Support day-to-day finance operations
  4. Serve as a consultant to the Management team on critical issues

Ideal Candidate:

  • Undergraduate degree/Diploma in any field (business related is a bonus)
  • You have a structured way of working, logical thinking skills and an independent mind
  • You have a proven track record of getting things done. You have a hands-on mentality and can prioritize your tasks effectively and efficiently
  • You are comfortable with Excel and data analysis
  • You are a highly energetic, self-motivated and results-driven person who takes full ownership of your responsibilities
