Job Description

Communications Intern

By being part of the team, you will :

  • Be at the heart of digital issues of the day: "How to communicate better (at the right time and the right place) for a brand and engage his customers?"
  • Participate in the organization of the activity of a business on an international scale with international clients & partners.
  • Be in a daily contact with major partners on Social Media : Social networks (Facebook, Twitter…), buzz monitoring, social video, social listening, ads in aps, community management, strategy, etc.
  • Acquire knowledge in creating content for social media and media buying on social networks
  • Be part of integrated teams in an international Group.

Responsibilities

Community and Contest Management

  • Respond to fan posts/messages across various scenarios as defined by the social media playbook/processes
  • Be able to recognize and flag potential crisis scenarios or even individuals that might have an impact on the brand

Performance Reporting

  • By working with an Executive or Manager, be able to put together monthly reports around the strength of a brand’s social community using insights and analytics information available natively from each platform
  • By working with an Executive or Manager, be able to consolidate reports with paid media performance where appropriate showing success and learnings where appropriate
  • Be able to pull out and segment information based on a specific campaign execution if necessary

Content Planning

  • Be able to calendar and schedule the various forms/formats of content based on an always-on plan (with or without the support of paid media) or one that is campaign based
  • Be able to produce an entire editorial calendar across the channels under management (monthly or for a campaign) in support of the content strategy
  • Be able to write out the copy for social media posts (with and without the assistance of a copywriter) in a style or tonality specific to that channel

Media monitoring & social listening research monitoring and analysis

  • Reading and scanning news sources to find coverage and relevant stories for current and new clients, as directed and briefed by manager

You are expected to:

  • Keep abreast with all updates around news for clients (scanning papers, reviewing coverage appearing online)
  • Support your Manager with media research, as needed
  • Be able to provide a point of view and have an understanding of the rationale behind the media reports

Internal Project Management

  • Be able to manage a workflow internally around copy and creative where appropriate
  • Be able to manage the working relationship between the Socialyse and the rest of Havas and/or the rest of the Village where necessary
  • Showing initiative around processes, quality of work and load sharing.

Preferred Skills and experience

  • Knowledge of digital and social media landscape
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fluency in written and verbal English. Other language is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective communication and presentation to stakeholders
