Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Post Production Specialist will ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meeting all associated requirements. The right candidate must possess exceptional inter-personal and organizational skills to handle numerous requests from clients and communicating with the editors to ensure  that client’s requests are met and executed well. You will be responsible for hiring freelance editors and managing them. This position is largely collaborative and will require high functionality in a team setting as you will be working closely with the head of the company, while also requiring independent and focused work. 


Essential Functions:

  • Budget, allocate resources, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for projects
  • Ensure post production needs, including talent, workflows and data management from camera through final delivery are well covered in all production budgets and schedules.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables
  • Work closely with the CEO of the company and collaborate closely with clients to help facilitate the creation of video content
  • Ensure creative goals are met
  • Vet and hire freelance video editors and assist in negotiations.  
  • Interface with producers, editors and post-production supervisors to support and interface with shows as needed through all stages of production, identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Perform quality checks of final exports before handover 


Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the post-production process such as video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills - You need to transform customer requests into product specialist instructions in a clear and concise way
  • Organized, flexible, available - To successfully build large client accounts, you will need to be flexible and available for their requests, while ensuring top product quality at every delivery
