About Employer: 

Our partner is a luxury international hotel located in Orchard Road, Singapore, renowned for its world-class hospitality and dining experiences. The hotel is committed to nurturing future talents in the hospitality industry by offering hands-on internship opportunities.

Internship Details: 

• Working Schedule: 5 days per week (44 hours per week; overtime compensated).
• Meals: Duty meals provided.
• Uniform: Provided with laundry services.
• Allowance: Basic S$1,000 – S$1,200 per month (excluding overtime).
• Location: Orchard Road, Singapore.
• Duration: 6 months

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Open to working in a non-halal kitchen environment.
• Available for a minimum of 6 months (shorter durations will not be considered).
• Internship program must be credit-bearing through university.
• Must be able to commit full-time (this is not a part-time or contract-based role).

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist chefs in daily food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Ensure mise-en-place is prepared according to kitchen requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies.
• Support in buffet setups, banquet events, and outlet service needs.
• Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Assist in minimizing food wastage through proper handling.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef.
