Job Description
We are creating Discord for Entrepreneurs (www.genesiv.com) - combining the best of Discord, Patreon, and Slack specially catered for businesses, creators, and entrepreneurs. As a User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) designer intern, you will be heavily involved in user research, prototyping, designing, and ultimately, finding ways to help our target audience better communicate and connect with their communities.
The role will also have you working with a small team of UI / UX designers along with coordinating with software developers, product owner, and QA tester.
Job Requirements:
- Singaporean/PRs only
- Preferably pursuing a degree in digital animation, design, media
- Good with Figma
- Great with design thinking
- Proficient in Adobe Suite
- Familiar with creating prototypes using Figma
- Someone who games and uses Discord is a big plus
- Independent and Critical problem-solving attitude.
Primary Responsibilities
- Optimize existing user interface designs
- Test for intuitivity and experience
- Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives
- Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centred solutions
- Testing and documentation of tasks + bugs
- User research for different target markets
Secondary Responsibilities
- Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company (UI UX, Developers, Analysts)
- Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships - Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
- Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successful achieved
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments - Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate to-market plans

How big is the team?
Locally, we have about 12 of us which includes the analysts, UI UX Designers, Developers, and management. Globally we have another 4 full-stack developers and UAT.
