The Singapore office is a trading company that does the marketing and procurement for its factories based in Malaysia and Indonesia. 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Group's regulatory compliance preparation as well as the annual Sustainability Report, which includes the collection and consolidation of datasets.
  • Research global best practices, policies, and regulations relevant to the business (i.e. for the cocoa industry and where GCB Cocoa has a business presence).
  • Assist with producing sustainability updates and communication materials (e.g. presentation slides, reports, social media posts).
  • Provide ad-hoc support with sustainability projects and help to take meeting minutes.

Commitment Period & Remuneration:

  • Ability to commit from January 2025 to June 2025, or June 2025 to December 2025 is preferred (duration is negotiable, minimum 3 months).
  • Full-time commitment is preferred.
  • Flexible on full-time/part-time working arrangements to accommodate the candidate’s academic schedule (for part-time, minimum 24 hours per week).
  • Monthly remuneration is SGD 1,500 for full-time (will be prorated accordingly for part-time).
  • Office location: Jurong East.

Requirements:

  • Must be based in Singapore or Johor, Malaysia.
  • Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities final-year undergraduates preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates a keen interest in sustainability (plus point if you have knowledge about sustainability reporting frameworks and requirements).
  • Excellent research and analysis skills with the ability to synthesize information from various sources, including public datasets, industry standards/best practices, and estimation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings in a thoughtful and concise manner.
  • Entrepreneurial working style, able to work independently and problem-solve.
