Who can best fit the role?
We are looking for a junior accountant to join our exciting team to fulfil accounting duties - bank reconciliation, financial reporting, preparation and processing of month-end journal entries. You will work closely with cross departments and external stakeholders so a good set of communication skills will be good. This role will leverage on digital capabilities and contribute to the optimum use of technology and systems to build a future ready team.
Responsibilities
Posting & Reconciliation
- Responsible for ensuring information flows from various operating systems into the general ledger
- Preparation of Daily Cash and System reconciliation
- Preparation of Daily Performance Reports for Senior Management
- Assisting in the automation of new and existing products
- Support preparation of all tax and regulatory filing, audits
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of information for both internal and external clients (eg. auditors, tax authorities, regulators and senior management)
User Experience & Continuous Improvements
- Identify, evaluate and effectively harness and implement potential technology and digital/AI/data analytics tools to improve accounting processes and systems to achieve greater efficiency and synergy across teams
- Support line departments to achieve their objectives in their transformation journey
- Apply knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. RPA) or methodologies (e.g MACRO, VBA) to improve user experience and streamline work processes
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline
- Strong understanding/ appreciation of excel, including basic understanding of writing macros as well as automation tools leveraging API or other software will be preferred
- Self-motivated, resourceful, proactive team player
- Creative and willing to challenge status quo
- Ability to speak Chinese to liaise with mandarin speaking stakeholders
