Job Description

Purpose: 

The purpose of this intern is to work alongside the analytical chemist and analytical lab team to conduct tests and studies. The intern will work on troubleshooting perfumeries as well as studying market products for perfume reconstitution purposes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perfume extraction of market product for GC – analysis
  • Operate equipment such as the GCMS proficiently
  • Manage and update databases


Learning Outcome:

  • Basic maintenance and operation of GCMS
  • GCMS and SPME-Headspace analysis of fragrances and its constituents
  • Perfume extraction of consumer products
  • Introduction to fragrance compounds
  • Management of laboratory inventory

Requirements:

Study science course, preferably in Chemistry

The ideal candidate must be meticulous with an eye for details.

The candidate must also be open to multi-tasking and working with various sub units such as analytical, creation and application laboratory team.

The intern should also possess strong MS Office skills including Excel, primarily used for data collation and analysis.
