During the Internship, you will work under the guidance of the Head of the Desk to obtain the basic knowledge of our Group operations and practice as well as the local regulation. You will support the Singapore Desk in the various compliance activities with regard to the Singapore portfolio of corporate clients. The intern will support the Singapore Desk in the following key aspects:
- Assist with project management, such as compliance monitoring, budgeting, and expense tracking.
- Assist in conducting compliance reviews on relevant procedures and KYC for new onboarding customers.
- Support the Relationship Managers in assisting clients with applications for Corporate Bank Account Opening, credit application, personnel relocation and Company Set-Up.
- Ensure that the operations and business transactions follow all internal rules.
- Annual ad-hoc client review exercise and ad-hoc compliance project initiatives.
- Support the Relationship Managers ensuring the clients’ mandates are properly executed.
- Any other incidental tasks may be delegated from time to time. As part of your exciting internship, expect to be given opportunities to participate in face-to-face clients’ meetings and commercial activities. This internship will give you a unique opportunity to be exposed to the internationalization process of European companies in Asia. During your time in Fidinam Singapore, you will experience the role of a business consultant in a dynamic environment supporting corporate clients from various industries and countries.
The Trainee will develop and improve business skills in communication and teamwork. The Trainee will observe and participate in business operations and decision-making meetings. The Trainee will develop a client-servicing attitude, forma mentis and modus operandi by participating in face-to-face clients meeting and phone calls. The Trainee will develop marketing skills (Time and project management) supporting the development of strategies to ensure maximum visibility of Fidinam's brand in the target markets that promote Fidinam's capabilities and professionals. The Trainee will acquire basic knowledge of - Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore Tax System - Singapore COMPANIES ACT and corporate governance - Singapore immigration policy and Singapore EMPLOYMENT ACT.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English (a second language is a plus)
- Knowledge in basic accounting and taxation concepts is a plus
- Possess a can-do attitude, able to handle pressure well and meet tight deadlines.
- Keen to have hands-on experience and contribute well as a team player.
- Someone high in integrity, open, highly adaptable and possess a positive learning attitude, you are confident in yourself and driven in your work with a hunger to succeed
