The incumbent is responsible for demand planning, managing and ordering of inventory to ensure sufficient stocks at warehouse and he/ she is required to:
- Liaise with overseas/ local suppliers and transporters on delivery arrangements to the respective warehouses.
- Handle clearance of aging stocks and short shelf life stocks
- Rectify stocks issue from incoming shipment
- Acquire compensation for claims raised to suppliers
- Process allocation to stores
- Compile inventory-related reports
- Advise on any inventory-related enquiries
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain or related disciplines
- Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in inventory planning and ordering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Microsoft Excel)
- Knowledge of SAP systems will be added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player and able to collaborate and work effectively with the various stakeholders
- Able to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated, meticulous and results oriented
- Resourceful and problem solver
