Job Description

Timeline: Looking for someone who can start in December/January and work till May/Jun as a part of his/her school internship or industrial attachment program.

Description:

Factorem.co is a one-stop portal to custom manufacturing in Southeast Asia. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be joining a team of like-minded, creative individuals growing and transforming in a traditional space. We are looking for an independent people person that is capable of solving complex manufacturing related problems while working in a fast-paced start-up environment in order to take on and up-and-coming hardware industry boom in the region. You can also expect to deeply engage and coordinate with internal teams in mobilizing change and drive commercial success in our early-stage startup.

Responsibilities:

 Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Checks:

o Part verification, drawing generation and providing technical support to Factorem’s customers.

o Understand intricacies of 3D/2D design files and how they translate to fabrication for various technologies ranging from CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication and 3D Printing.

o Continually work to improve and perfect the internal operations and processes.

 DFM Content Articles & Workshops

o Assist the Factorem manufacturing team with writing articles/blog-posts and other marketing related paraphernalia.

o Assist and/or help conduct workshops to raise awareness about Factorem and reach out to more customers.

 Engineering Operations

o Sales: Assist the sales team with any manufacturing related technical support, if and when required.

o R&D: Work closely with and provide technical support to internal R&D teams where necessary.

o QA/QC Activities: Maintain and upgrade Factorem’s quality assurance and quality check activities.

o Partner Acquisition: Work closely with the partnerships team to develop the partner qualification system.

o Partner Visits: Visit manufacturing partners to provide manufacturing related technical support and insights as required periodically.

 Experience with working with CAD software and has manufacturing knowledge

 Previous experience of working in the manufacturing industry and/or startup environment
