As a Legal Wizard at Eventerprise, you’ll be involved in multiple projects, including internal governance policies, the vetting and drafting of agreements and contracts, as well as researching and developing legal strategy within the rapidly-changing global Tech and Digital industries.
Successful candidates will be based at our operational hub in Cape Town, South Africa, one of the world’s top travel destinations. At our open plan office, you’ll be given the chance to work across departments and collaborate closely with our experienced management team. If you would like to develop your legal skills outside the traditional corporate environment you’ve come to right place.
Responsibilities:
- Research legal implications of Eventerprise’s activities across international borders
- Develop and implement legal strategies to minimise risk and maximise rights for the company
- Double check and improve existing internal and external documentation (agreements, contracts, terms and conditions, privacy policies and more)
- Develop new legally compliant documentation to international standards where required
- Assist with the continued securing of Eventerprise’s IP rights
- Assist with any internal or external processes or projects that may have a legal component
- Ad hoc research, reporting, and administration duties
Key Competencies
- Basic experience in a legal role (part-time, full-time, or internships)
- Final year law student or recent law graduate ( we accept candidates from well-known universities across the world)
- Exposure to a broad range of legal disciplines (Corporate, Litigation, Labour and IP Law recommended)
- Great attention to detail
- Interest in pursuing a legal career within a business/tech/startup environment
- First class interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
- Strong digital research skills
