About Global Communications
The mission of the Global Communications team is to support the Business Area Energy in achieving its strategic goals by developing and implementing integrated communications strategies and programs. The function supports the business in building a solid reputation and brand amongst key stakeholders in the energy market and creates opportunities to increase revenue for the business. The integrated communications strategies include external communications and stakeholder management, events management, marketing communications, PR, media relations and internal communications. The Global Communications team has a global expertise center in the head office in Arnhem, The Netherlands, two support centers and four professional regional teams to support the business in the local markets. The Global Team works closely together with Group Communications in Norway.
Key purpose of the function
The key purpose of the function is to support the DNV GL - Energy business in the region Asia Pacific by developing and implementing integrated marketing communication programs, deploying global campaigns locally and applying modern marketing and communication techniques. The function addresses the needs of the local Advisory business and the local needs of the Global Business Unit Renewables Certification.
Main responsibilities
The intern will offer a general administrative service to support the Regional Communications Manager in the delivery of the regional Communications Plan, and specifically to provide support for the planning and implementation of the online and offline marketing activities, to include;
- Schedule management (working with internal and external stakeholders)
- Develop and maintain list of communications related materials, calendars etc
- Translation of existing materials
- Local website migration and maintenance
- Sales leads/ data management
- Industry research
- Campaign evaluation support
- Social media – content development (dependent on experience)
- And other communications-related activities
Essential knowledge, skills and experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Ability to speak and read Mandarin Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Experience of working with spreadsheets, including implementation and maintenance
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
- Strong administration and research skills
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Friendly and professional manner
- Previous experience of working within an events management environment or within a campaign support role
Key internal and external contacts
- Head of Regional Communications, local communication colleagues, regional business managers, Director of Division, consultants and experts, suppliers.
- Interfaces directly with communication colleagues in the Energy Business Center
