Job Description

The Corporate Communications team in Daimler Financial Services AAP plays a key role in keeping our regional colleagues engaged, inspired and connected and in managing the external affairs of the company. It drives regional communications topics and initiatives for 11 markets in Africa and Asia Pacific. 

As part of the team, you will gain exposure to working in a global multinational company and supporting important communication topics for the region. You will also be involved in developing engaging content, assisting with the organization of regional and local events and supporting initiatives to drive corporate culture. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: 

• Work on diverse local and regional communications topics including business strategy, employee engagement, diversity, corporate social responsibility and digital communications. 

• Support content creation for internal online platforms, including the company’s internal social media platform. 

• Conceptualize and develop creative marketing communications materials and multimedia content. 

• Design support for key internal initiatives including infographics, video and digital media. 

• Be involved in the preparation and execution of key local and regional events and conferences including teambuilding and other social and cultural activities. 

• Act as a communications support liaison with regional and global stakeholders and provide support for corporate and online communications topics as required. 


Qualifications: 

Preferably possessing or currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Communications, New Media, Visual / Graphic Communications or equivalent 

• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) 

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator) 

• Experience with video editing and video editing software/applications 

• Team player  

• Proactive and takes initiative 

• Excellent writing and communication skills 

• Possess a keen eye for detail, creativity and an interest in graphic design
