At our location in Singapore - Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia Pte. Ltd. (DCVSEA) is the Regional Center for Daimler commercial vehicle business in South East Asia and Southern Asia. Our team of over 70 colleagues is responsible for developing the truck & bus business for the brands Mercedes-Benz, FUSO and BharatBenz in more than 20 markets across South East Asia and beyond. As a part of Daimler Truck, a globally active group, we understand the importance of staying ahead in today's dynamic business landscape. To protect our company and employees, we are looking for a motivated intern to join our Corporate Security APAC (CS APAC) team, located in Singapore. CS APAC serves as the regional hub for Daimler Truck's global Corporate Security organization, covering 9 countries, 15,000+ employees, and 80+ facilities in the Asia-Pacific region. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multinational corporation while contributing to vital security initiatives.
The successful candidate will have further opportunities to enhance and contribute to our Microsoft Power Platform, cloud competency, and corporate security initiatives, while also gaining exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in these areas.
Challenges that await you are:
- Support the development of a Regional Security Strategy and the rollout in the region
- Involve in identifying and monitoring security topics in the region
- Support the assessment of the security situation in the region and the preparation of reports and recommendations to the business
- Collate all security-related information in the region and update the existing database
- Support the CS APAC office in generating presentations and reports
- Learn about the development of a regional security strategy that incorporates AI for threat detection and response
- Assist in the development and deployment of MS Power Platform applications under guidance, including those that leverage AI capabilities.
- Learn about managing and optimizing our Power Apps environment.
- Gain exposure to cloud-based solutions and their design and implementation.
- And any other reasonable assigned tasks.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate/postgraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Political Science, Public Safety and security (or related degrees)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in Microsoft Power Platform, M365, Power Apps, cloud platforms, AI applications, and corporate security principles would be an added advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong team player with high ethical standards
- Ability to multi-task and deliver on time
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive learning attitudes with strong proactiveness
We are looking for students who can commit to:
- At least 3 – 6 months internship duration
- Full-time &/or Part-time internship
- Immediate Start Date / Starting from Mid-Feb / Mar 2024
