At our location in Singapore - Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia Pte. Ltd. (DCVSEA) is the Regional Center for Daimler commercial vehicle business in South East Asia and Southern Asia. Our team of over 70 colleagues is responsible for developing the truck & bus business for the brands Mercedes-Benz, FUSO and BharatBenz in more than 20 markets across South East Asia and beyond. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as an Accounting and financial Reporting Intern, where you will be needed to assist in the documentation and management of financial statements, and other duties as stated below.
Challenges that await you are:
- Preparing for month-end closing and financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders for logistic controlling
- Monitoring and approval of special discounts for parts sales
- Processing of staff claim reimbursement
- Updating of documentation based on internal accounting/finance control processes
- Analysis of various parts-related charges (insurance/transportation/freight cost) against inbound (inventory purchases) and outbound (sales) activities
- Completing of parts inbound and outbound shipping documentation in a timely manner
- Reconciling parts stock monthly
- And any projects or duties assigned
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate/postgraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (or Business related degrees)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Highly motivated with strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proactive and can work independently with minimal guidance
- Open-minded and with good teamwork spirit and socio-intercultural competence
- Organized with attention to detail and good time management skills
We are looking for students who can commit to:
- At least 3 – 6 months internship duration
- Full-time &/or Part-time internship
- Immediate Start Date / Starting from January 2024
